Happy New Year to All!

Happy 08!

Laura and I hope that this post finds you well.

As we all prepare for the coming year, new ideas abound. Some will be initiated, while others may be a bit too ambitious. Either way, I would rather err on the side of enthusiasm.

Podcasting and/or New Media are a force in broadcasting, there is no doubt about it. The question remains of just how this medium will plant its roots. 2007 has seen a lot of great casts fade into the sunset while others have become stronger than ever. At Studio1A, we see a constant steady increase in listeners. When we started our humble venture at the crest of 2005, we had no idea what awaited? Several years later, the only certainty is that New Media will, indeed, succeed.

No longer are we content to be fed a dose of media at the time and selection of the provider. Instead, as consumers, and a demographic, we select when, how and what entertains us. Selective media is now as common as the Las Vegas buffet. Poised in front of us is a bounty of information and entertainment.

As the ball drops from Times Square tonight, we are inspired with new ideas and opportunities, but mostly, we promise to keep our passion for broadcasting at the forefront. Both New and Old Media are destined to become one. It won’t happen in 2008, but it will happen.

We are preparing for a great year full of challenges and rewards. We couldn’t do it without you.

May this year bring you happiness and prosperity.

I can’t wait for 2008…

Best,
MarkJensen
