The dbx 286a mic pre-amp and processor.

Today, we look at the dbx 286a mic pre-amp and processor. The mic pre packs 60db of amplification. The processing section is composed of a compressor, de-esser, expander/gate and low/hi-frequency enhancement. You also get switchable phantom power, an 80hz high-pass filter and processor bypass switch.

I start the show off with an Aphex 230 and then move on to the 286a. At $199 (street price), you get a lot for your money with the 286a. Have a virtual twirl of the knobs with me as we go from left to right on the front panel of a 286a.
