On todays show, Laura and I explore the world of “tube emulation.” More specifically we try the MXL Silicon Valve V6 and the mysterious V12 large diaphram condenser microphones. We also throw into the mix, my Neumann TLM49, which itself emulates the warm sound of days past.

And; just to tip the scales, Laura uses THE contemporary large diaphram dynamic, the Heil PR-40.
