SFX Machine - 113

…show 113 is on the way

Laura joins me on mic 2 today as we talk about our Disney getaway and a great little plug-in called SFX Machine.

SFX Machine packs the features of a hardware effects generator, but goes far beyond that.

We’ll take the SFX Machine through a few of its presets to give you an idea of what this great little plug-in can do. I found it worked flawlessly on my MacBook Pro as I used that to demonstrate using Peak 5.2. The 300 presets (250 on the RT version) can keep you busy for a long time. Once you’ve dazzled your ears with the presets, it’s quite easy to tailor each effect with the user interface.

What I liked was not just the scope of effects you can apply, but also that this plug-in can act as a noise generator to inject many types of audio on its own. Anything from “car alarm” to test-tones are very useful and all accessible from the main menu. Of course, you can tweak the settings for each effect or “noise.”

I’m having a blast with this plug-in. For the price, it’s hard to beat.

SFX Machine RT - $99

SFX Machine Pro - $199
