Today, we talk a little about a secret (well; not secret, but that sounds more intriguing) way of tapping the optical output of the Aphex 230 channel strip right into your Mac. I’ll be a little vague here on purpose because we’ll be doing a “live” demo of this in the near future.

Mastering decks. Have you ever lost a recording while recording “live” to your PC or Mac? Consider rolling a Mastering deck in parallel so that you have a redundant, high quality source if your computer of choice fails in any way.

Check out the Tascam DV-RA1000 or the Alesis Masterlink ML9600. Both of these decks are used in Studio1A and I wouldn’t want to be without them.
