The Behringer B-2 Pro

This MiniCast features the Behringer B-2 Pro large diaphram condenser micrphone. From the moment I heard this mic through the cans, I could tell it had an extra ’sparkle’. After reading the Behringer literature, I found that there is an intentional 12Khz. ‘bump’ in this microphone to give it presence. As we know, most vocals fall down much lower than 12Khz, but I did find a pronounced brightness to this microphone.

The presentation is excellent on the B-2 Pro. You get a hard shell, foam lined travel case, complete with fitted areas for the capsule, included shock mount and the custom-fitted foam pop filter. The microphone itself is in the traditional U-87 capsule form and is finished in a nice matte silver tone.

I was quite pleased with this microphone. As always, each microphone has it’s own signature and personality.
