09.24PodSqod 9 - Presonus Eureka
Welcome back! After re-arranging the rack in Studio 1A and adding a new Dell “processing” Server, we are ready to roll the tape …or hard disk. Laura and I take the dust off of our Electro-Voice RE-20 and RE-27 and take them for a spin on number 9.
PodSqod 9 takes a glipse at the Presonus Eureka vocal strip. The Presonus name has been a staple in the studio since I bought the FirePod professional audio interface.
The Eureka has a transformer-coupled class A mic preamp, smooth compressor, analog VU meter and and voice optimized parametric EQ. This is one of those products that you have to hear. It sounds smooth in every way. From allowing you to choose your input impedance, to the silky compressor and the band adjustable EQ, we were not disappointed.
All my Presonus equipment is a pleasure to use and the Eurekas worked as expected.
